I’ve already received several emails with the ‘New Year NEW YOU’ cliché. The truth is there will be no ‘new you’ until you face up to exactly what’s wrong with the old you. And that requires a cold hard look in the mirror.
It’s tough to admit that:
- The reason you’re overweight is that you ate too much (and not just over Christmas) and didn’t move enough.
- The reason your career is off track is because you won’t take a risk and put in the extra effort.
- The cause of your money problems is… ok, you get it.
For the last 20 years, I’ve started every personal coaching session by asking my client to complete a Wheel of Life—and to do so with brutal honesty. Done properly, it’s a massive wake-up call.
So, here’s an invitation. Take just 10 minutes to get your 2017 off to a cracking start by completing your Wheel of Life and taking an honest view of the old you so you can make some room for the NEW YOU. The Wheel Of Life won’t tell you what to do, but it will tell you where you’ll need to focus your energy for the next 90 days.
