Have all the good ideas been thought of?

Are all the big breakthroughs, the brilliant moments of inspiration, behind us?

I don’t think so.

Here’s a truth: your best idea hasn’t arrived… yet.

Your favourite song hasn’t even been written… yet.

And the most exciting opportunity of your life? It’s still out there, waiting for you to discover it.

My brilliant friend, the inspiring speaker and author, Penny Haslam, has a simple and powerful idea:

Be a Yeti.

That’s someone who instead of writing off a challenge, adds ‘yet’ to an otherwise final statement.

I haven’t written a book… yet.’

I haven’t ran a marathon… yet.’

I haven’t had the promotion to my perfect role… yet.’

‘I haven’t found ‘the one’… yet.’

Adding ‘yet’ changes everything. It reminds you that the story isn’t over. It keeps you moving forward, curious and open to what’s next.

The future belongs to the curious.

Think about it: if the greatest creators believed the best work had already been done, we’d have no new music, no new books, no innovation. 😱

And if innovators believed healthcare breakthroughs were finished, we wouldn’t have early diagnostics, better prevention or life-saving advancements.

And if you think you’re spent, then how will we benefit from your brilliant ideas and actions?

The future is built on the belief that there’s always more to discover, create and enjoy.

If you want to get add yet

And make 2025 your year of creativity, progress and joy.

I’d love to hear what you haven’t done yet. Please tell me below.

Be Brilliant!

Michael

Hi, I haven’t bought my house by the sea yet. I’ve got the goal and now the strategies are in place and being actioned. I learnt do much last year and I was fortunate to be a speaker at an event with Penny and since then my growth has been immense.

I’ve done a lot since I met you at the end of July in Waitrose car park. You very kindly dropped off your book to me in Corbridge.
I’ve tried writing digitally. It’s a yes and a no.
I’ve started three courses but given up on two because I can’t work them out. They were useful though.
I’m writing on Quora and Medium
I’m doing a project with a ninety year old to record his stories for his family.
Encouraging a friend to write the story of his mother’s illness.
Encouraging another friend to publish the hilarious posts she puts on facebook.
I’m saving to do a course on proofreading and editing.
I’ve wanted to be a proofreader and editor for a long time.
Thank you. Thank you for wearing your T shirt.
