What if, once a year, gravity worked in reverse? What would ‘Not-Newton Day’ look like?
When I work with leadership teams, I love to stretch thinking with a ‘What If’ game.
I throw out imaginative ‘what if’ scenarios. It’s light-hearted, but always cracks open the door to possibility thinking.
After a few of mine, I encourage everyone to invent their own ‘What If’ questions.
Fancy a game? Let’s play ‘what if’…
Here we go:
1. What if laughter were a currency? How would you earn it and where would you save it?
2. What if you could taste colours? What would blue taste like?
3. What if you could pause time, but only for one song? What would you be pleased to pause and what song would you choose?
4. What if gravity worked in reverse once a year? What would Not-Newton Day look like?
5. What if mirrors gave you a motivational pep talk while brushing your teeth? What would yours say to you?
6. What if everyone could fly, but only two feet off the ground and slower than walking? Would you bother?
7. What if you could instantly master one skill? What would it be?
8. What if you could eat anything without putting on weight? Would you stuff your face?
9. What if you could function brilliantly with only 30 minutes of sleep? What would you do with the extra time?
10. What if puddles were portals, but if they dried up, you couldn’t get back? Where would you go and would you risk jumping?
Hope you’ve enjoyed that. You might have found some easier to ponder than others.
Got to love a bit of good old stretch thinking.
I would love to know your ‘What If’s’. In fact, I’ll send a copy of my book Flip It how to get the best out of everything to my favourite. Leave your suggestions here.
Be Brilliant!
Michael
